Gentle friends,
As was previously announced, the Feast of Giants at Coronation is Sold
Out. There is currently a nearly-30 person waiting list, and I do not
expect many more people will get on board. If you send in your reservation
now, please opt for the Below the Salt feast or offboard. If you have made
a reservation for the Feast of Giants and are on the waiting list, you
should have received an email telling you your place on the waiting list
and giving you options to choose the Below the Salt feast, stay on the
waiting list or some third option. If you have not already done so, please
let me know which option you prefer, so that we can arrange food appropriately.
There is still plenty of cabin space and plenty of space at the Below the
Salt feast. However, in order to know how many to plan to cook for, that
will need to be cut off at some point too. That "point" is Monday March 28th.
If you are fairly far down the waiting list, you will need to decide which
way you want to go, as we can't cook for you in both feasts. If you are
planning on "just showing up" and getting the Below the Salt feast, please
go ahead and reserve (or at least let me know you're coming). At this
point there are insufficient reservations to make it worth holding the
Below-the-Salt feast. If we have not received sufficient reservations by
Monday, we will have to consider cancelling the Below-the-Salt feast.
For those who have concerns about the "tavern" setting, the Below-the-Salt
feast will be held in the picnic pavilion behind the Feast Hall. The
pavilion has a roof and a concrete floor, and we are planning on running
pavilion walls around the edges as a windbreak. In addition there is a
large barbeque inside (on which we will be cooking) so unless it is *truly*
unpleasant out, it should be relatively comfortable indoor. In addition,
because we will be serving tavern style (a gently-controlled buffet),
diners are welcome to take their meals to their pavilions or cabins if they
feel they will be more comfortable there.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me
or the autocrats.
Regards,
Keilyn
