Greetings,
As part of the Minister of Minors and the Arts & Sciences offices, we wanted to inform parents bringing children to Investiture about some of the children's activities going on.
As a reminder, there is a Viking Toys by Young Artisans competition for children under 17. Any object that could be interpreted as a toy that Viking children would have played with or used for entertainment purposes done in any medium. Documentation or source of inspiration would count for extra points but is not needed. The prize being awarded is a dragon puppet with fabric wings and a movable head that can sit on one's shoulders.
In addition, there will be a on-site banner making competition for children of all ages using cloth banners and paints. Every child participating in the competition will get a small prize for just competing with a larger prize going to the winner. This means that although there will smocks to cover the children, it is advised that they wear clothes suitable for not only painting but also for doing physical activities since there will also be a wide variety of interactive games as well as classes on singing rounds and fingerloop braiding.
There will be more information posted in the flyer given out on site. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either on of us at kim_wolfshavensca at yahoo.com or kathm_1 at yahoo.com.
Yours in Service,
Kim of Wolfshaven & Ysabel
