The following proto-alcoholic drink solutions have been offered by Mistress  
Karen Larsdatter as solutions to the problem of serving alcoholic drinks in  
competition at a bone-dry event site.
 
For wine, serve raisins.
For mead, serve honey.
For ale, serve yeast and Whoppers.  (Yes, I had to ask her about that  one 
myself.  Apparently it was the closest and least expensive thing she  could come 
up with for malt!)
