Greetings all!
Well, I am sure you are starting to pack your cars and hit the road and
would like to know about our land, ...so here is the situtation...

I have been doing a bit of back and forth with the Land Staff. We have two
potential spots which are right across the road from each other, but since the
Land staff f is not 100% sure of the Square Footage of either (sorry folks,
this is not as organized as Pennsic) we will have to wait until arriving on
site to determine which one is best. The good news is that we have the first
pick and if we need both plots, they are available to us.
If You take a look at the map:

Our first choice is on King's Hwy/Bearkiller Lane near Trimaris, right next
door to Masion des Animaux, which is a prominent Household in Glean Abhann,
the heads of which are the current Tanist and Tanista (soon to be Prince and
Princess of the Principality). They are really nice folks and if you have been
to GW before, you would recognize their camp as the one with the really cool
stucco gate.

The second choice, or the area for spilling over to is just behind that
across from the

original space, behind the Shire of Wrymgeist. On this map, there looks like
there is more space there, but I don't think this map is to scale, so it
looks like a decision will have to made on site when the tape measures can
actually come out. Both of these spots are pretty flat, and there is a shower
house right there on the corner. I think it would be a nice spot for the future
as well since Ansteorra and Trimaris are on the same road, so no matter who
Atlantia allies with, we would be close to their Kingdom camps. It is not too
far to the battle field, and obviously in a prime location for the ravine
battles. I hope that everyone will be happy there. It is a bit of a challenge
finding a spot that is not out in the boonies or with the dogs (yuck) given that
we normally have around 100 campers. All in all, I think this would be a good
spot for the long term, which is what we have been looking for.
When you arrive, there is normally a small tent outside of troll called the
"land tent" (yes, very clever) that has a large Map. The land staff will be
arriving on Sunday to set out the camp and do all the measuring. Once the
camp boundries are established, they will not on the big map where Atlantia is.
Please just check that map once you have checked in to find out where to go.

When you arrive in camp, PLEASE DO NOT BEGIN TO SET UP UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN
ADVISED WHERE YOUR AREA OF CAMP IS!!!!!!!!!!! The camp will be sub-divided
into smaller groups per your requests. You will most likely be told where your
pavilions should go as to give the best space lay-out for the entire camp. If
you have suggestions or think you have a better plan PLEASE talk this
through with the land staff before you make changes as any changes you make will
effect the rest of the camp.
We also ask that you do make the best attempt to hide mundane items where
possible to add to the atmosphere of the camp.
If you have any questions prior to leaving please let us know.

Now for the not so fun stuff....

I do also need to let everyone that there is a very real possibility that my
doctors will now not let me fly. As most of you know, I am expecting (4 weeks
to go!) andI have had a few complications with my pregnancy as of late, and
I have actually started to have some contractions. If the worst happens and I
cannot fly, I know that Lord Grendle is totally prepared to handle
everything with the camp. He has been such a HUGE help in years past and knows the
drill.
I do really appreciate this opportunity to serve Atlantia in this way.
Havordh and I do so miss Atlantia and her people, and being involved with this
project has been a really nice way to still feel connected.

A HUGE thanks to all the Baronial Land Reps who have been so helpful. I
think in the 6 years that that I have been doing this, this has been the best
year in terms of organization on the Baronial level, which makes things soooooo
much easier! If you are a Baronial Rep, please bring your individual lists
along as a back-up to the master list that the land staff will have. Please
remember that you will not be allowed on site until Monday morning. Also, please
take a look at the web site for the NEW troll location.

I have also taken a look at the weather forcast, and as usual, you should
expect some rain. Make sure that you pack your stuff as water-proof as
possible, and take care when setting up your tent as to avoid flooding. Here is what
the weather channel's web site has to say:

Again, if I am unable to join you all, have an AWESOME time! Thanks fo all
the support you have given me, and please make sure to help Lord Grendle and
his team to make the camp the best it can be.

Thanks so much!

Mary-Grace
