Good Gentles pray attend this request for information
from the autocrat of May Crown Tournament:

The Barony of Bright Hills will host May Crown
Tournament at Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation,
Camp Spencer, 1738 Peach Orchard Road, Street, MD
21154, near but NOT the same site Kingdom Crusades).
If you don’t want to camp, there are up to 78 bunk bed
spaces (counting upper and lower bunks) on site that
could be made available for an additional charge, if
there are enough people interested in renting them.

(We are also working to arrange a special rate with
one or more of the several hotels less than 20 miles
from the site.)

The on-site beds are scattered between three
buildings. In order to make the beds in a building
available, the barony has to pay the entire cost of
the building up front. I need to know how many people
would be willing to pay an additional $15 for a bed
space, available to you on both Friday and Saturday
nights. The price would be the same regardless of
whether you used it one or two nights.

If there is sufficient interest (enough people to fill
at least one building’s beds), I will make a list of
those responding to this posting and will hold a bed
space for them until March 31. If I have not received
a paid reservation for the event and the bed space by
that date, the bed space will be made available to
anyone else making a reservation. (See the event
announcement for the other event costs.)

(If you have already contacted, you are on the list.)

Below are descriptions of the buildings with bunks and
the other amenities included:

1. Hansen Lodge (located closest to the feast hall):
18 double bunks (that’s 36 beds) in three dorm rooms,
central heating, separate men’s and women’s shower
rooms with multiple showers and toilets in each, a
tiled meeting room with a fireplace, and a small
institutional kitchen. The two entrances, the showers,
and toilets are all handicapped accessible (and ADA
approved). If we reserve this building, a fourth dorm
room may be allocated for the use of their Majesties.

2. Manor House (closest building to the list field,
but in a secluded meadow below the main road): 9
double bunks (18 beds) in an old farmhouse. The house
also includes a full restroom with shower, wood stove
for heating, and a kitchen with propane range and
oven, refrigerator, counter space, and 3-bay sink.

3. Administration Building (closest to the parking
lot, and not far from the feast hall): centrally
heated building with 10 bunks (20 beds) in two rooms.
The building also features a bathroom, refrigerator,
propane stove, and table and chairs.

Please email me at brunosharpy at yahoo.com, or call me
in the evenings at 410-721-4752 if you would be
willing to pay for bed space. If emailing, please
indicate how many spaces you would want, any handicaps
that would prevent your being able to use an upper
bunk, and your order of preference among the three
buildings. (The only way to guarantee which bed you
get would be for your group to rent an entire
building.)
