Champions' Competitions

Just a quick reminder about the various "champions" competitions on
Saturday:

----

INTERBARONIAL CHAMPIONS' COMPETITIONS
The landed barons and baronesses may each select one champion for the
Performing Arts Competition, and one for the Non-Performing Arts
Competition.

PERFORMING ARTS: A single-elimination tournament. The pairings are done
randomly, and will use an Atlantian "list tree" format. Both
competitors will perform, and a winner will be chosen to proceed to the
next round. It is recommended that each entrant have at least four
pieces ready to perform.

NON-PERFORMING ARTS: If the entrant who actually made the items being
displayed in the Non-Performing Arts is not present, another person
will have to represent the group with the entry; each entrant (or
representative) will be responsible for judging three other competitors
in this competition.

----

KINGDOM CHAMPIONS OF ARTS & SCIENCES
The judges for this competition will be seeking out the best entries,
with the best documentation, for recognition as a "Champion of Arts &
Sciences." Entry forms (available at check-in) will allow entrants to
list which item(s) they are entering -- even if such items will also
appear in other competitions or displays on site.

----

THE ATLANTIAN CHAMPION FOR GULF WARS
Their Majesties will select an artisan to represent Atlantia in the
"Champions' Battle" Arts & Sciences Competition at Gulf Wars. They
hope to pick Their champion from amongst the entries in the Kingdom
Champions of Arts & Sciences, but if They cannot find an entrant in
that competition who They feel ought to fulfill this role, They will
expand Their search to entrants in other competitions and displays.
(The Atlantian Champion for Gulf Wars need not actually *attend* Gulf
Wars; his or her work can be sent to the event to represent the
Kingdom, even if he or she cannot attend in person.)

----

Information about Kingdom Arts Festival is available at

entries in all of the competitions & displays planned for Saturday!
