FYI, Kudzu didn't "get out".  It was intentionally brought to the US and planted **on purpose** in order to serve in an erosion control capacity, based upon work done by university researchers (Clemson if memory serves...).

The fact is that only totally ignorant dimwits would have chosen it for that role because it doesn't provide erosion control.

Doesn't invalidate your query, imho. :)
