Forgive me if I'm missing something. If you wanted to authorize at a fighter
practice, wouldn't you need two marshals and an MoL? You would have a
greater chance of finding all of those at one place at an event.

There have been no plans made at this point in time for Combat Archery
authorizations at said event.

Also, just knowing the schedule of the event, and the layout of the
site, I do not see authorizations happening 'during' the event.

If you wish to attempt to arrange them, I am sure that many CA marshals
will be there (since CA Marshals often tend to also be Target Archers)

However, The only way I could see them happening, is EARLY in the
morning, such as at 9am, since from 10am on (perhaps even 9:30am and
on), the entire field is going to be being used with sharp pointy things
flying, and most every archer there wanting to shoot for competition and
fun.

If you are still interested, I would reccomend contacting directly the
Autocrat, and deputy autocrat (who I believe is the Marshal-in-Charge as
well) ... to see about the possibility of early morning authorizations.

Alternatively, do realize that said authorization could be arranged at
ANY event, and in fact, can be arranged at any PRACTICE (with the
marshal running the practice giving the Kingdom Marshal prior notice
that it will happen).

Thanks for your suggestions, my Lord. I will check if an authorization
could be done at a local practice.

Cheers,
Millicent
