Does your library include "The Four Seasons of the House of  Cerrutti"?  It 
is a treasure-trove, written by an Arabic physician  converted to Christianity. 
The original was in Latin and in a rather dry outline  form, but the 
translation is in narrative form and very readable. 
 
I'm not sure if it's still in print, but if you wish I'll dig out my copy  
and give you the ISBN number etc.
