Forwarded from the Marinus List. It is spring and thus a good time to cross
pollinate with the other scribe types. Hope to see everyone who can come
down in Marinus. Crash space is available for those from far away lands. Let
me know by Thursday, so I can make arrangements.

Tristan de Brailesford
Web Minister Marinus Scriptorium

Greetings all you artsy types from your Marinus Scriptorium,
We are planning a scriptorium session this Sunday from 1 to 7 pm in
Portsmouth. Everyone is invited.
We will be working on baronial scroll blanks for Marinus' Baronial Birthday
in July. If someone is interested in learning some aspect of scroll
construction, please get with Brandwyn or Tristan ahead of time so we can
prepare for it.
We have art supplies to loan if you want to give it a try. We will also
have some promissory blanks to paint for those who want to just come and
"color between the lines".
We also invite people to come and keep us company while we are scribing.
You can work on other A&S projects or just sit around and chat with us. The
more the merrier! (Well, as long as we fit in Gwendolyn's house, that is)
And, for those of you parent types that have problems participating in
things, you can bring your younglings with you! They can keep Gwendolyn's
children company. If there is an interest in some of the older children, we
can set them up with some promissories to paint or color as well.
 What to bring:
Art supplies for scroll making if you have any, Markers if you prefer to
color instead of paint promissories, possibly a chair (we will be around the
dining table, so some chairs are available), drink, snack to share if you
wish, money to chip in for pizza if you stay for dinner.
 Janie says>
I will provide coffee and tea of various flavors. If someone *must* have a
particular soda, they will need to bring it. I'll even feed people dinner,
though it might be pizza. All of you can stay until seven-ish. That's when I
chase children through the bathtubs and send them to bed<
So please come out and join us this Sunday, June 12 from 1 pm to 7 pm.
Directions to 4494 River Shore Road, Portsmouth, VA 23703:
Find your best route to Virginia State Road 164. Take the Cedar Lane Exit.
>From Downtown Portsmouth is the FIRST exit. From I-664 (towards Downtown
Portsmouth) there is only one exit; take a left at the top of the ramp.
Your should pass a 7-11 on your right. (If you see Sweethaven Baptist
Church and a Bank, you are heading the wrong way on Cedar Lane. Turn
around.) The next stoplight is at River Shore Road. You will notice the
rather large River Shore Fire Station. Turn left onto River Shore Road. Go
one mile. Ignore all the schools on your right and look for the one school
on your left. After you pass Churchland Primary and Intermediate School,
there will be (all on your left) a small wooded park and grassy field,
followed by a grouping of houses. The only two-story will be across from the
sign for River Shore Baptist Church.
 In Service,
Lady Gwendolyn Fitch
(Janie)
484-4955<
We hope to see you there!
Brandy
(Lady Brandwyn Alston of the Rift)
(Northern regional cavalry marshal, Deputy Clerk of the Signet, OP)
