I'm curious about something. Your event flyer mentions rapier activity, but your schedule does not. Will there be rapier activity?

8 PM Fire circle opens, come and relax or cook
your dinner
SATURDAY
10 AM Troll opens: all vehicles off site
10 AM A&S Competition/Display opens
10 AM Silent Auction opens-Chatelaine's tent
10 AM Authorizations begin
10 AM Archery opens for practice
10 AM Merchants open
10 AM Bake Sale opens
11 AM Heavy inspections start
11:30 AM Lunch available with lunch token
Noon Authorizations end
Noon Heavy scenarios begin
Noon Archery tourney begins
3 PM Thrown Weapons Starts
3 PM Bake Sale closes

4:30 PM Court/Feast Set-up
4:30 PM Merchants Close

Following feast there will be a fire circle for
bardic or other
activities, weather permitting.
SUNDAY
AM Clean-up
Noon Site closes - everyone not helping in the
break-down is expected to be off site by this
time.
HEAVY FIGHTING SCHEDULE
Highland River Melees
June 11, 2005
Authorizations to begin at 10 AM
Fighting to begin at 12 noon
Scenarios to be:
Sea battle; Ships locked in combat with each side having several
portable boarding ramps. Timed resurrection battle.
Warlord melee; Each side fights in a timed resurrection battle. The
side that has the least fallen warlords wins.
Field battles; many field battles with no resurrection.
Triad bear pit tourney; Teams of three with only one knight per team.
These teams will fight in a bear pit format with wounds retained. If a
triad wins three bouts in a row the team wins an extra point and goes
back in line. Timed event with multiple lists if enough people
participate.
A & S COMPETITION

The A&S competition is garb. Theme is 1100 - 1400 Europe, with
three categories:
People's Choice (voted on by attendees)
Most Authentic (judges)
Best Novice Piece (anyone who has been sewing for less than a year)
