I did not recognize the link as the substance of the message. 
 
It looked like the usual "boilerplate" that accompanies most messages.
 
Would it be too much to ask, for the benefit of those as stupid as I, to put a little introductory note in messages of this kind so it's clear what they're about? 
 
Something like, "Here's a link to a sale on batiste fabric" ?
