Reminder: The Barony of Dun Carraig's Challenge of the
Heart is coming up June 24-26 (in Nanjemoy, MD) and we've
got some really fun things planned for A&S:
1) "Best Token of Love in Any Medium". Traditional
contest, documentation is required and the winner will be
determined by the Baroness and the judges of her choice.
2) "A&S Projects that DIDN'T work": fun contest.
Documentation is not required, but entrants must note what
the object was supposed to be, what went wrong and what
lessons were learned. The winner will be determined by the
A&S Officer (me) with special consideration given to
tragically humerous projects.
3) Brewing Contests sponsored by Lord Michael von
Schonsee: Best Beer/Ale, Best Wine/Mead, Best
Cordial/Non-Alcoholic, Best Novice (Brewing less than 1
year...you not the entry). An ingredients list is required
for each brewing entry.
3) Open Display: No documentation is required, but
entrants are eligible to be chosen as the next Baronial
A&S Champion. (Note: you do not have to live in Dun
Carraig to be selected as the Champion, but we would ask
that you consider playing with us often, smile)
4) Artisan's Row: Traditional meet & greet. Bring your
working displays and projects. Participants are encouraged
to demonstrate their art & answer questions from the
populace. We have asked members of the Laurel and Pearl
lists to take some time to visit with the artisans in "The
Row", providing feedback and encouragement. Please let me
know if you are planning on participating in the Meet &
Greet so that adequate provisions and accomidations can be
prepared.

I'm especially excited about the "A&S Projects that DIDN'T
work" Contest. I've got TONS of those. Too bad I need to
remove myself from the competition, grin.
I hope everyone reading this will consider coming to the
event. We've also got a Ladies Gallery that will be dimmer
without your company. If you have questions about the
planned A&S competitions and displays (or the Ladies
Gallery) please contact Baroness Mary Isabel of
Heatherstone at MOAS at DunCarraig.net.
