Since the list is slow, I just wanted to make a
personal thank you (from a nobody) to all of the
honorable fighters and Marshals and water bearers that
showed up to Northern Regional War Practice this
weekend.
I respect the fact that most of you had been
fighting/working the day before in pretty warm temps,
and then made the effort again to come out, wearing
heavy armor in the blazing heat and stand beside your
comrads in arms and practice your skills.
Despite the heat and multiple scenarios, you all
continued to do amazing battle, scenario after
scenario!
As a very lightly armored archer (I didn't have
anything on my chest or shoulders at practice) I would
like to say thank you for all of the very honorable
light touch kills made on me by the fighters. And I
believe every single arrow that hit was aknowledged
and I felt were honored.
It's activites like this one, where I see such
tactical knowledge and skill from the fighters that
really make me happy to be a part of the SCA and such
a wonderful group of people. I know Archers are
considered ignoble (only second to a back stabbing
assassin) but I'd consider it an honor to fight along
side all/any of you at future events. My bow and
ammunition are always at your disposal.
Thank you all! You made it a fun day despite the heat
exhaustion.
