[MR] Kingdom Archery - More Details about the shooting.

Greetings unto Atlantia with some extra info for everyone's use.

First of all, the event announcement is slightly misleading. It
discusses a Hunt, and advancing/retreating animals, etc.

That was the theme & setup of LAST year's archery. This one, of course,
is different.

The 'theme' might best be described as 'varied' - or perhaps 'shooting
gallery' - based. Sorry, no more details than that :)

However, it should be noted that targets MAY range in distance from as
close as 5 yards, to well over 100 yards away. Some targets will move
in order to dodge your attempts to hit them. Some targets may even have
other tricks up their sleeve.

Archers who are seriously wishing to contend for the top ranks in the
tournament should note that some shoots will require 12 arrows/bolts in
order to fully shoot them. Given the chance of losing or breaking some
during the process, I would reccomend that all archers come with MORE
THAN 12 in their quiver.

Also note that, as in year's past, the finals may involve ALOT of
shooting (and be remarkably fun to watch). If any archer feels they
have a chance of making the finals, then I reccomend they bring LOTS of
ammo - If you are short on ammo, borrowing will be allowed from other
archers.

Please note to everyone else. You do not NEED 12 arrows to shoot ...
you do not NEED an invitation ... you do not NEED to even be able to hit
the broadside of a castle in order to come out, shoot, and have a blast.

So I highly recommend for everyone to come out, shoot, and enjoy
themselves, it should be quite a day and I guarantee that noone will go
home without sore shoulders.

Siegfried

PS. A couple more rules that the 'contenders' will care to know:
A) Only one bow or crossbow is to be used for the entire competition.
No switch hitting.
B) Double-loading is allowed if you wish to use that tactic.
C) There are no requirements of position for any of the targets (ie,
sitting, standing, etc)
