Howdy All,
This is a shameless plug for a class I will be
teaching at 1:30 p.m. at Atlantian University on Sat.
Feb. 5.
Unfortunately, due to a glitch in the on-line
pre-registration form, this class was not listed in
the drop down menu. But yes, I am still teaching the
class and below is the information from the course
catalog. It's not too late to pre-register, but it
seems you'll have to hand write this class into your
request.
306 Liripipe Hoods and Stuffed Cloth Buttons (Anne la
Settere)
This class will discuss liripipe hoods worn by men and
women of many classes during the 14th and 15th
centuries. We will discuss how they changed over time
based on the art and extant examples, what they were
made of, how they were made, and how they were
embellished. Each student will also make a fabric
stuffed button that could be have been used on a hood
or other garment in period. A full-size pattern for a
hood similar to one of the London finds will be
provided for $1. Size=10
YIS,
Anne la Settere
