Hazel  Uzzell of Regia Anglorum has also put together a table of dyes and 
their  corresponding DMC (and Paterna) embroidery thread (crewel wool, 
rather  than cotton floss) colours.  This information has been posted to 
this  list before, but I see now that it's also on the Regia website  at:

Since Regia is concerned  with 11th century England, they are probably more 
useful for those of us  with English and Northern European 12th century 
interests on this  list.
