Actualy, any law or political movement that has a direct effect upon our Society and mutual interests/hobbies is more then fit for this list. This law has a direct effect on those that do feasts, do research into mideaval cooking and food prep, and those interested in ancient farming and animal husbandry. I and my wife are planning on getting land soon and raising rare breeds of cattle, sheep and goats. THis is due to our interest in the medeval lifestyle. This law has a large impact on us if we intended to have a working farm, or used some of our farm products at events.
This string goes right along with other information put out on this list that has a direct effect upon us-Laws on knives and swords, laws concerning martial arts and children, smoking, drinking of alcohol, food sanitattion, merchanting, and of course the sexual abuse of large bison. (Yes, bufaloe humping, it happens.)
Anything that can have a effect on how we play and do our hobbies is very fit for this group.

While the question about the effects on SCA Feasts may indeed be relevant,
may I suggest that any other effects of a political or economic nature are
not fit topics for discussion on our List?
