but I will not fail you at your Defense. Should it
please you and your Gentle Lady, I will stand ready at
any time that shall serve convenient so that you may,
by your nobility and carriage upon the field, prove
that you speak truly when you say you are to wed the
most noble and beautiful of Ladies. I would meet you
on the field bearing any and all of the 5 weapons that
you named, Sword, Mace, Dagger, Long Sword, and Pole
axe, each in turn until 10 blows are struck. Win or
lose I shall take my reward by asking to kiss the hand
of your Lady, offering her my best wishes. To you I
say, Congratulations on your fine match.
