Many many many possibilities of conflict there. One of the advantages of 
using Spike is its unmistakable connection to Atlantia: (a) it's already 
registered to Atlantia (in blue, white, and gold, all fieldless) and (b) a 
more recent ban on adding unicorn horns to random critters means that 
nobody else can register a variation of Spike. (Atlantia can register more 
Spike-stuff, since the motif is "grandfathered" to the kingdom via Spike's 
already being registered thereto).

But it's only one possibility among many.
