We now have prize support fully exstablished:
Grand Prize: The Complete Book of Kells CDrom
2nd Place: Guilding Kit provided by Lady Brandwyn Alston of the Rift
Just for Entering: Brause Nib (Size 1) and a vial of Sumi Ink provided by
the sponsors jointly.

We have four judges. We are looking for one more Pearl or Laurel of C&I that
would like to judge.

Note on Documentation: There was a few emails wanting clarification on how
important documentation will be. You get 5 points for having Documentation
good or bad. There is possible 10 points that can be deducted from your
score for being blantly inaccurate. Like you say "red dots surrond the knot
work in many of the pages in Duc de Berry Tre les" That will probably cause
a deduction if you do not back up the point with proof, as our judges
probably will have a hard time thinking it is accurate.

The only other way your documentation will effect your score is on the
bullet concerning innovation and/or rarely seen style. You will get 15
points max for not only documenting how you did it but where you saw it done
in period that triggered your interest to develop a new methodology or
research existing but underused ones.

So all in all Documentation is not as important as craftsmanship and the
other criteria listed in the competition. In fact we have underweighted it
due to it being a Novice Tourney. Here is a break down on how documentation
will affect points
Max score in the Competition: 200
Have Documention: +5 Points (all or nothing)
Documentation Inaccurate: -0 to - 10
New Style or Innovative Technique/Method illustrated in documentation: +5 to
+15

Percentage that Documentation can Affect you score: 5% to 2.5% of total
possible score
Proof of how range was calculated: (-10+5+15/200 * 100) to (-10+5/200 * 100)
I will provide the full score sheet next week, so anyone entering can tune
their entry to what the Judges will be looking for.
