[MR] Weaving question

Greetings!

 

I'm hoping there are some weavers out there who can help me.

 

I recently took up weaving, and want to try and re-create some
historical fabrics. I found a web site called Complex Weavers. There was
a sample there that interested me, but did not include a draw down. It
referenced a book, tho. So I bought the book. Which turned out to be in
Belgian. (At least,  I think that's the language...it's definitely not
German, Spanish, or French).

 

I have a diagram of the pattern from the book.  I plotted it out on a
spreadsheet. I then attempted to lay out the treadling and threading
sequence. It looks like it requires 14 harnesses! So I think I might
have done this wrong. Is there someone out there who can take a look at
what I've done, and help me to figure out if I can recreate this pattern
on a four harness loom? If so, contact me, and I can e-mail my
spreadsheet (excel) to you.

 

Please cross post. I was going to try and post this to another Kingdom's
A&S list, as I know there are a lot of fiber arts folks in that Kingdom,
but couldn't find their A&S mailing list...
