 Esteemed Populace,
 Having as of yet learned no Scadian songs, I find that I have no choice but to compose my own. Here then is one such song. I did not compose it exactly, rather it simply occurred to me as I waited, a seemingly interminable wait, to get into combat. Because it seemed so obvious to me, I fear that perhaps someone ere now has travelled this same path. If so, then I apologize; I assure you that I mean no plagerism.
 Here then are the lyrics, the tune of which I presume will be immediately obvious.
 
 I was bidin' my time
 In the Res-Point line
 When I heard them shout "Lay On".
 I was feelin' bold
 But they called out "Hold"
 Before we'd even moved one step on.
 I said "Hey there fella'
 With your staff black and yella'
 What's a fightin' man like me gotta do?
 I'm tryin' to be a good sport
 But I want into that fort
 Won't you let me take a step or two?"
 
 "Won't you give me three steps
 Give me three steps marshall
 Give me three steps toward that gate
 Give me three steps
 give me three steps marshall
 And then I'll be happy to wait".
 
 Well he came up to me
 Lookin' mad as can be
 He said "Son we're doin' this my way.
 We're gonna wait till they shout
 That the dead are all out
 Even if it takes the rest of the day".
 I said "Hey there fella'
 With your staff black and yella'
 I didn't mean to injure your pride.
 But we've got bashin' to do
 On those boys wearin' blue
 And we can't do it standin' outside".
