My name is Charles, and I'm a heraldoholic.

I was on a plane the other day, and a boy walked by wearing a Nike Soccer
T-shirt. On the back was a large heraldic shield. I didn't get to study
it, but here's my best guess at the blazon:

Sable, on four bendlets vert an enfield rampant to sinister argent

At least, I think it was an enfield. If it was a lion, it was a pretty
misshapen one. The Nike logo on the chest had the same critter rampant to
sinister, but fieldless like this:

Nike (critter) Soccer

You can usually tell when somebody wants to put a "coat of arms" on
something but doesn't really understand it. They get the arms of Edward III
or some such. This one looked real, in the way that garb is more than a
costume. Does anybody recognize the device? I looked at the Nike Soccer
Web site and couldn't find anything about it.

Your curious servant,

Charles Fleming
