Dear Fellow Atlantians,

I have been wondering. Is there a website like the sites for the Knights and Squires of this Kingdom for Pelicans and Laurels? A place that people could go to see who these peers are and what they did to achieve this level. Is there any interest in have such a site? (http://squires.atlantia.sca.org/index.html<http://squires.atlantia.sca.org/index.html> and http://chivalry.atlantia.sca.org<http://chivalry.atlantia.sca.org/> )

For example, if a person was interested in embroidery, they could look for a Laurel in that area. Or if someone likes Autocratting, he or she could find a Pelican who loves autocratting to help give them advice and guide one through the process. In either case, what most non-peers are looking for is:

1. What am I doing right?

2. What am I incorrectly?

3. What areas do I need to improve and focus on?

We have a large Kingdom and many do not know their fellow Atlantians at the other end of the Kingdom. Even more so, it is often the case that non-peers reside within Royal Lands where they are on there own without a Baronial support network. Therefore, having a more difficult time making connections to Peers outside of events.

I am well acquainted with several Peers, but I couldn't tell you for what or why they were elevated to Peerage. I would love to find someone who had similar interests to mine and learn from them. But where does one find this info?

Please understand that this is a two way street. Providing a means by which budding artisans and service junkies can make these connects could give Pelicans and Laurels a chance to discover, mine and refine some real "diamonds in the rough." It would also give polling orders a place to put names and faces together on an apprentice/protégé site.

If there is interest I would love to see this happen. I personally do not have the computer knowledge to take on such a project. However, I would be happy to help organize the information and put it together. Any thoughts or ideas on this subject?

YIS
