Greetings unto the Populace of Atlantia,
I have been receiving quite a few complaints over the past several months in
regards to the length of time it is taking for Acorns to arrive in people's
homes. I spoke to the post office again earlier this week and they
mentioned that they have been receiving quite a few complaints of a similar
nature. They assured me that the issue is being addressed and I am keeping
my fingers crossed that it will be resolved.
In the meantime, I would like to do some sort of tracking for the November
Acorn so that if the issues continue, I have specific information I can go
back to them with. I just got off the phone with the post office and they
confirmed that the November issue of the Acorn was accepted at their
location yesterday (October 21). I don't particularly need (or want!) all
1400+ members letting me know the date their issue arrived, however, if you
receive your November Acorn after November 1, I would appreciate it if you
could send me an email (to chronicler at atlantia.sca.org) letting me know the
following:
your modern name
your mailing address
your membership number
the date your issue arrived
Please put "November Acorn" as the subject line so I can set up a filter and
keep them in one place. Also, the chronicler alias is forwarded to 3
separate email accounts. My work account does not like emails from free
ISPs (like hotmail and yahoo). So, if you get a bounce back email please do
NOT resend - chances are it's just my work account bouncing which means it
will still get through to the other 2 accounts.
I appreciate your patience with this situation and your cooperation in
trying to get these issues resolved.
