Forgive a straight forward question that some in other times and places 
may take offensively, is your friend Chinese, Japanese, Korean, 
Vietnamese, or of another Asian descent?  We have at least two Asian 
yahoo e-lists that may help, one is SCA-JML; the other, SCA-China; both 
having excellent resources on hand to go romping merrily through.

Anymore than that, and you'll need someone with more expertise than I.
