Ice Castles XXI
January 22, 2005
Barony of Black Diamond
The Yule season has past, the winter storms have arrived, and our beloved
Barony prepares to celebrate its XXIth birthday. Inspired by the ascension
of Good King Wenceslas of Bohemia to the throne of Poland in 1300 AD, we
turn our eyes to the east. Calling all Russ, Poles, and Bohemians to join
in our revels, the Barony of Black Diamond cordially invites you to join us
for the celebration!
Martial Activities: Heavy tournaments include traditional three-on-three
tournament and the Baronial Armored Champion. Rapier Tournaments include
tavern scenarios and Baronial Rapier Champion. Target Archery and Thrown
Weapons if weather permits.
A&S: Scriveners competition. Baronial Arts and Sciences Champion
Competition. Come display your work or work in progress; theme to be
determined. Please check the website for more updates.
Lunch: A small lunch will be included as part of your entrance fees for the
day.
Feast: A multiple course affair, the feast will feature items from the East
both North and South. Seated feast for 80 persons. There will also be
various tales performed for the entertainment of all guests during the
feast. For dietary concerns or how you can participate in the evening¹s
diversions, contact Almas (mka Johonna Gamble) at 540-344-5879 or
honnas at teleport.com.
