If you haven't already, you should check out the Iron Rose website on
specific features you want to look for in groin protection (not all
commercially available products will help you much in the face of
rattan).  That said, you can get some basic models right off the
shelves at Galyan's sporting goods stores.  They're over in the section
with joint braces and various kinds of pads.  As I recall, they were
NOT with the men's options.
