Hi.

I know that there was a process created for this,
and...I know that a lot of time was spent with Luce,
Quhinten and Clare working on this. I know that a lot
of expertise in the business, legal and jewelry world
was brought to bear on this problem.

But I think you've lost the SCA part of this.

Does this need to be nearly this complicated? We need
new hats. Someone in the SCA has the knowledge to
make them, lots of people in the SCA have the
knowledge to design them.

What great gain for the Society is made if you go
outside of the SCA? And why are you so dead set on
protecting the intellectual rights of this. Do we
really care if someone goes out and makes a bunch of
replicas? Does that impact Atlantia?

Instead what is bought by staying in the SCA, or even
in Kingdom. The story behind the Crowns is one of
research, charity and a desire to make the Kingdom the
best it can. Not legaleese, marketing partnerships
and intellectual property contracts.

I know you guys worked hard on this, and I know this
isn't the reception you were looking for. I don't
even know if this can be fixed now, but I just don't
get the sense that this is the way this should be
done.
