[MR] Demo any one?

I am indeed happy to see so many people enthusiastic about demos, that is
wonderful. I would like to make a few suggestions though:
a) For those interested in hosting demos, or those attending demos who would
like some suggestions on what to do at them, please see the chatelaines web
site off the Atlantian site. We have a whole chapter on demos in the
chatelaines handbook (which can be downloaded) and we have some articles and
handouts about demos that are currently being written and uploaded at this
moment. If you have a nice handout or article that you have written, please
consider sending me a copy to add to the demo section on the website.

b) Please remember your chatelaine's office. These are our "new people"
people and are here to help with questions and activities for newcomers.
These officers are here to help not just the newcomers but you too! If you
are hosting a demo and would like help, contact your local chatelaine or
myself and we would be thrilled to help you out!

c) Also, if you are interested in helping out with newcomers, holding demos
and generally being the answer person in your group, consider volunteering
to be your local chatelaine or a deputy of the current chatelaine. There are
several groups who do not have a chatelaine and there are many chatelaines
who have held the positions for years. Get involved at a local level or a
kingdom level. If you have questions, you can contact me.

d) Finally, if you have questions about how to hold demos or relate to
newcomers, think about taking classes from the chatelaines tracks at
universities. We are working hard at coming up with useful classes, not just
for newcomers, but for everyone in the society. Please attend one of our
classes or please talk to me about your ideas for future classes. There
might be a topic that you have a great amount of knowledge of that others
would like to know.

Again, it is wonderful to see people getting excited about demos. They are a
wonderful way to interact with the local community, to attract newcomers, or
to educate the people around you. I applaud each person who works so hard to
make demos successful and who put their energy into helping others.

Thank you!
