Sorry about the bandwidth.

I have been contacted by a lady from the Huntington (Long Island) NY
Historical Society.

I have been asked to help with their Children's Summer Programs. Their
primary focus is 1840's-ish.

I only know spinning, and was wonering if there is anyone who would be
willing to help out with this program?

Also, what kinds of things would kids be interested in learning?

One idea is having the kids learn how to dye (with kool aid), drop spin and
weave their own wool.

They would also like a basket weaver, a bobbin lace maker, a blacksmith,
pottery and any other craft/ art that was practiced in that time period
that kids can learn.

As I am very un-knowledgeable on kids programs I was hoping that there are
other people here who can help?
