Please crosspost as appropriate!
The Emmaus Fair Artisan Exhibition on April 17 still has plenty of space
for Arts and Sciences people to exhibit their works. Artisans of all skill
levels are strongly encouraged to attend and display their works. Those
who do not feel comfortable displaying are encouraged to come and visit
others' displays!
THIS IS A WET SITE so brewers, cordial makers, etc. are very welcome.
This is a STURDY site, so those whose art requires heavy equipment are
encouraged to attend and display-- we already have exhibitions in
metalcasting, glass beadmaking and other heavy crafts.
This is an INDOOR site, so exhibitors in the fragile arts of Calligraphy &
Illumination, Embroidery, Textile arts and other activities may safely
flock here!
Cooks and herbalists should consider themselves pressured to attend.
Exhibiting is easy-- email or call Jadwiga Zajaczkowa
(jadwiga at fiedlerfamily.net, 610-432-2546) with your name, whether you want
a full table, half table, or are sharing a table with a group of friends,
and any special needs; if you can give us a brief description of what you
are exhibiting that will help our layout people. Show up at the event with
your arts and sciences-- completed work for display and/or work in
progress-- and sit by your display and discuss your work with others.
There will be rattan combat, youth combat, fencing, and children's
activities for thse who attend, and the dayboard will be extensive and
Eisental style (lots to eat, lots of variety, nobody goes home hungry.)
The fees for the event are $8 a head for adults, $4 for youths ages 7-18,
and free for under 7; family and special needs pricing is available.
(Dayboard is included in the $8 day fee; there is no feast.)
The site is about 60 miles from Philadelphia, 100 miles from NYC, 80 miles
from Harrisburg PA. Easy access from Interstate 78 and the Northeast
Extension of the PA turnpike.Site address: Schnecksville Fire Company,
4550 Old Packhouse Rd, Schnecksville, PA 18078-2528.
Please come out and play!
