Greetings all!

I have had a few questions asked about fighting at Coronation. YES,
there will be LOTS of fighting at Coronation! I am reposting an earlier
missive I sent to lists with this information along with our A & S
competitions. Please pass on to other lists at will.

Thanks,
Caroline, Event Steward
Coronation of Cuan and Padraigin

Heavy Fighting Tournaments: Heavy fighting will open with an
off-weapons tournament. All combatants not using a shield are invited
to participate. This will be a single elimination tournament to whet
the appetite.

Following the off-weapons tourney will be the Giants Tournament. To
enter this tournament, combatants MUST be Giant. One can be giant of
stature, giant of heart, or giant of ego. Every fighter is AT LEAST one
of these three. Come prove your worthiness among giants. Giants have
huge appetites and need lots of fighting to feed this hunger. To
facilitate this, we will make this a Bedford points tournament so there
will be as much fighting as any giant can take.

Rapier Tournaments: At Her Highness' request, the Queen's Champion
Tournament will be held during the day. This tournament will be
SCHLAGER ONLY as per Her request. A
Progressive Tournament will follow the Champion's Tournament as will
either a Warlord or Poison Dice Tournament, if time permits. These
subsequent tournaments will allow epee and schlager.

Archery: We will also offer archery during the afternoon. Please
contact Earl Mika at
EARLMIKA at aol.com for more information.

AND IF THAT ISN'T ENOUGH, stay for Sunday and fight some more! There
will be a Rapier Spear Hastilude and a Heavy Fighter Practice held on
Sunday morning. We do not have to vacate the site until about 5 pm so
plan to spend the afternoon.
