A&S Competitions:
-- Spanish or Moorish Objects: A prize will be awarded for the best Spanish or Moorish object. We're all aware of Spanish artistic splendor, but don't forget the Science part of A&S: Medicine, agriculture, mathematics, metallurgy and other sciences flourished in Spain. Competition entries and displays in these fields are most welcome, no matter how homely they are. Documentation is required.
-- Mundane Objects: Show us how you conceal or camouflage your mundane objects! From coolers to cell phones, there are some modern items we can't seem to live without, even on the list field. Your clever, well-crafted item may win you a prize. Documentation strongly encouraged.

-- Children's competition: Children under the age of 12 are invited to display their handiwork. Documentation is not necessary, though it is most pleasing when children can explain what they made and where they got their idea.

For more information, or if you are interested in judging one of these competitions, please contact Herrin Wulfhild von Konigsburg, (Judith Sanders) 540 371-6814; vulfhild at earthlink.net).

-- Gaming Tournament: For all you gaming fans, Ringer du Chester (Ryan Miller) will hold a round Robin gaming tournament on 3, 9, and 12 Man Morris, plus the Hare and Hound. Come try your skill and see if you can win a prize.

-- Children's Activities scheduled for the afternoon.

-- For Archers under the age of 18, there will be an archery shoot just for your starting at 1:30 pm.

-- An Archery Marshall Class will be held on the archery field in the afternoon.

-- Demo on natural dyeing of fibers will take place throughout the day in the Feast Hall by Lady Aelfwynn of Whitby.

-- Servers will be auctioned off to the highest bidder before feast. These lovely lasses are from the Mary Washington College Ren Club. And for the ladies, there will be several handsome looking lads up for auction as well.

-- The (Pre-) Incipient Canton of Avannaniar will provide a Peasant's lunch in the Feast Hall for a small fee.

 Regards, Cairistiona de Coveran
