I've been talking about the soapmaking compleat
anachronist for quite a while.  I didn't want to
create a web page until it's done but looking for
unusual supplies has taken a lot of time so I decided
to create a web site.  

Whenever I offer help with soapmaking documentation I
have to grin a little because so many say "of course
we knew about Mappae Clavicula and there really isn't
that much left to discover".  As you can see by the
bibliography there's tons more than Mappae Clavicula
and I'm convinced I've only scratched the surface.

If you would like to use this as a resource all I ask
is that you please quote it properly.  If you would
like to contribute, I'm very happy to give you credit
as contributing author.

This page is very much in draft mode and you may see
notes to myself in the document, as well as different
fonts, etc.  Also some of the translations at the end
still need work.  I hope to get a little more
organized while all of you are at Gulf Wars but here's
