[MR] Australia to ban swords

Soapbox time
Ya know, if a bunch of youths in a gang want to kill each other, they will find a way. Will they outlaw garden tools after someone gets hacked to death by a manuel weed wacker? No brooms after a severe beating with the stick? Oh my god, we must ban scissors or they will put a eye out! Watch the pointy bit on the tip of the pizza slice, you may commit peperonicide.

Problem ain't the weapons, problem is the kids in the gangs. At least with a sword or polearm you cannot injure someone by accident through walls,(Unless you are a Duke I suppose). There have been cases of rounds going across streets into private homes and injuring people during gang confrontations. If these individuals want to hack each other up, fine. Put it on cable and tax the snot out of it. Better yet, the government is saying that we are too heavy as a nation, 1 hour a day using a sword would be a great way to get the pounds off! Arnold would be for it!!! The REpublicans would be all over that one!

LOL sounds to me like they have been watching way to much of the show "
Highlander" to me , I have to admit if they are resorting to carring swords
  instead
of guns its a novel approach .
