Good gentles of Atlantia, I bid you greetings!

(If you receive this missive more than once, my apologies; most likely it means, like so many of us, that you're on too many lists!)

As the heat of summer is now upon us, many of our thoughts have turned to serving our Royal Majesties in the Great War this August. While many of you are aware that the Last Chance Authorizations hosted by the Canton of Rivers Point will allow our fine fighters one final opportunity to authorize in their combat skills, it also provides those tasked with the care of those in our fair Kingdom to renew CPR and First Aid certifications.

As per the event flyer in the Acorn, I will be available at Last Chance for those wishing to RENEW their First Aid and CPR certification for Adult, Infant and/or Child CPR, AED, or CPR for the Professional Rescuer (the American Red Cross equivalent to the American Heart Association's BLS for the Healthcare Provider). In order for me to be able to issue certification cards on site, I must know in advance who will be recertifying their CPR/First Aid so that the local Red Cross can have time to print the certification cards for us. (This is a testing session ONLY; please review before arriving on site.)

In addition to the site fee for Last Chance, there will be a $10 fee for the CPR/First Aid recertification to cover the equipment costs and the small fee the Red Cross charges for processing the certification cards. Please be prepared to pay this amount when you take your CPR/First Aid recertification.

Please send the following information to me directly at henicke at comcast.net NO LATER THAN July 16:

*SCA name
*Mundane name (to be printed on your certification card/s)
*What you need to recertify (Adult CPR, Infant CPR, Child CPR, First Aid, AED, CPR for the Professional Rescuer)

I've been assured of having plenty of shade just far away enough to be able to concentrate but not too far that it feels like we're our own seperate little event.

So come out, bring your water, and prepare to help your fellow Atlantians for another year!

Dionysia of Rivers Point
Deputy Exchequer and Quartermaster for the Canton of Rivers Point
