    For those of you who may not know, I had to change the site for Hero's Portion, a Siege event in Marinus, on about a week's notice. The camp we ended up using, Camp Sky Anchor, is a Scoutcamp for the handicapped. Hurricane Isabel really tore the place up, and his insurance company kinda fell through. So a mutualy beneficial relationship is developing between the Camp, Marinus, and possible the Kingdom.

    Mr.Evens the owner and his famly have agreed to set aside a large area of land for our exsclusive use, if we provide labor to help fix the camp, and maintain it over the forseable future. This will be in a written lease worked into the owners will and signed by the camp Council of Directors.

    The camp is fairly central to the Kingdom, located within the confines of Berley Cort, in Surrey County. There is enough room set aside for us to have a archery field, Equestrian, and coursing. They are also ok with us building permanent structures such as a fort or castle.  

    So we are planning our first Service Weekend for July 16-17-18. I realise that a lot of you all are getting ready for Pennsic, but if you can come down for a day, or the weekend, e mail me back and I can give you the details. We could end up with a very neat "play area" for all of us to enjoy.
