Hello from Linette de Gallardon! I'm forwarding the below announcement
from the autocrat of the Knowne World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium. This
event is taking place on June 25th-27th in Owl's Reste - only one hour from
the Atlantia-East border. The event isn't listed on the Atlantia online
calender, but we still hope to see our friends who are heralds and scribes
from Atlantia there!
Greetings to all who read these words from Gisela, Knowne World Heraldic
and Scribal Symposium event steward in
the East Kingdom, where Spring has finally graced the land!
I wish to remind all good gentles that the Known World Heraldic & Scribal
Symposium, to be held June 25th- 27th in Owl's Reste (near Harrisburg, PA),
is fast approaching. We have a full slate of more than 30 classes on
heraldic and scribal topics planned, along with numerous other activities
to interest
heralds and scribes of all kinds.
Also, a true test of volume for voice heralds and silly games to test the
knowledge of all heralds to help pass the time and create wonderful
memories.
A Sunday Bus Trip to the Walters Art Gallery one hour away in Baltimore,
MD, is planned.
Not only will attendees be able to see the massive manuscript and armor
collections there,
we are organizing a special tour of their Conservation rooms for an
additional fee.
This rarely happens and should be quite a treat!
The Proceedings, full of informative articles from people across the known
world, will be available for $15 and can be pre-ordered on the Web page.
The bus trip and behind-the-scenes tour of the Conservation department of
the Walters Art Gallery's manuscript rooms is filling up fast. Classes,
good companionship and the Laurel Team Roadshow will make the weekend fly
by.
Event details can be found at www.kwhss.sca.org. The more
pre-registrations I have, the better I can prepare a fantastic event!
Don't wait! Register now!
Thank you for your time and see you in June!
