The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
My Lords and Ladies please come and experience the magic and romance of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus. This will be the finale of the Barony of the Sacred Stone's 7 Wonders of the Ancient World series of events.
Combat: We will be hosting a Zahara Tournament for the heavy, rapier, and youth combat tourneys. These will be tournaments in which the fighters will have a chance to honor their inspiration. These tournaments will be followed by additional tourneys for the heavy and rapier fighters. We will also be having an archery competition for those of you who have been yearning to bend those bows once again. Her Excellency, Baroness Kisaiya will be using each of the tournaments to observe the fighters and choose Her next champions. Lord Christian Von Nurenburg is the Rapier MIC of this event and can be reached at Christian1095 at carolina.rr.com. Sir Dagonet De Marlow is the Heavy MIC of this event and can be reached at cc56433 at appstate.edu .
A&S Competitions: This year the competitions will be a combination of the Baronial Spirit competitions and competitions related to the Mausoleum and the cultures that surrounded it through the ages. There will also be a Fashion Show that afternoon for the populace to come and show off their favorite garb. The Feast: The feast will be a period feast with a combination of Middle Eastern/Persian/Greek food all prepared for the modern palate by Baroness Fiona MacLeod. Please address all dietary concerns to Baroness Fiona at fionasca at hotmail.com . A free tavern lunch will also be served on Saturday.
