Greetings Kind Gentles of Fair Atlantia,
As you have heard, some regalia was recently lost. The items missing
are the King and Queen Banners and the King and Queen kneeling pillows.
These items were lost en route to Sapphire Joust on the evening/early
morning of May 28/29 somewhere on 95 between Wake Forest NC and Richmond
VA. The box that contained the items of regalia was well placed and
strapped down in a truck bed and yet still managed to somehow come loose
on the road. No one is at fault, unfortunately these things happen.
Meistari Isabel Ulfsdottir <danr-n-isabel at nc.rr.com> has generously
volunteered to head up the regalia replacement squad and work to get the
Kingdom new banners and kneeling pillows. At this time an older banner
and pillow have been given to Their Majesties for use until new regalia
can be made. While it is nice to have the back-up regalia, it is
certainly not the nicest this kingdom can offer their Crowns, hence the
replacement project. Please contact Meistari Isabel if you are willing
and able to be of assistance. While the pillows and banners are the
current high priority, please let her know if you are also willing to
work on other items of regalia.
The other items listed, cloaks and the war standard, are still in the
Kingdom and functional, but they are beginning to show the wear of the
years. Considering that most of the items under discussion are
approaching 10 years old, with the exception of the fine new kneeling
pillows gifted to the Kingdom by Mistress Mordrea that have been lost,
replacement was a present thought in my mind.
My thanks go to Meistari Isabel for undertaking this project. I also
extend my heartfelt gratitude for any and all who can contribute. I
know that we can turn the loss of these items from a tragedy into a
great opportunity to further the glory of Atlantia's Regalia.
In Service,
Mistress Genevieve d'Aquitaine
