[MR] Update on Sacred Stone's Baronial Birthday

Good Gentles!

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that Sacred Stone's Baronial Birthday will be held the September 10-13, 2004 at Kings Mountain State Park in Blacksburg, SC.

Things are shaping up well for a superb event with plenty planned from Friday night through Sunday morning.  

I want to thank all the Cantons and Baronial Orders for stepping up and agreeing to assist with the various duties surrounding this event. 

As many of you know the cabins at Kings Mountain are not accessible by motorized vehicle.  Therefore we have made arrangements for various people to be on hand to escort you to your cabin (flashlights in hand) and to provide wagons to assist you get your gear to the cabin.  If you would like to assist with this endeavor please offer your services to Baron Achbar or Mistress Susanna.  They will both be available at Troll when you check in if you cannot reach them beforehand.  

Don't forget we will also be having a "Name that Heraldry" competition in the feast hall during the day.  Please get your personal and group banners done so that we can display them.  

There is also an encampment competition!  So get your period stuff together, check out the guidelines on the webpage, and show off how beautiful your personal space is!

Her Excellency, Baroness Kisaiya, is sponsoring a Fashion Show in the afternoon - so bring out your favorite garb!   

The A&S competition will feature a category consisting of "period" reproductions of items that could have been found in the Mausoleum at Halicanarssus.  There are websites on the flyer that will assist you with your research.

Baron Achbar has offered to sponsor a "best field presence" competition as well.  No documentation is required.  They will be looking for the fighter with the most attractive rig during the day.  

Last but not least, fighters, determine who your inspiration for the tourney is.  You will be formally presenting your inspiration to Her Excellency before the Tourney and fighting for your inspiration in the first tourney of the day.  If you don't have an inspiration we do request that you fight for a newcomer or child.
