Remembering Lt. Brian Smith

Earlier this month, Lt. Brian Smith was killed when a sniper attacked his
convoy west of Baghdad. Smith, 30, left his job as a Dallas lawyer to pursue
a lifelong interest in the military by enlisting in the Army. Catherine
Cuellar of member station KERA has Smith's story.

Friedrich's local group is honoring his memory by raising funds for his
widow and by
sending care packages to people still working in Iraq (Friedrich used to
share his care packages with other people in his group who didn't have
people to send them things.)
