Another Sea War memory, Rupert was on crutches until he went out on the
field to fight with a grin on his face; all I could do was shake my head.

At an event in Nottinghill Coille, his son and my daughter Brigit at age 3,
picking up our fencing masks and daggers that we had just dropped as we came
off the field, and the two of them taking the field to fight. Too precious
for words. All Rupert and I could do was not fall over laughing.

Too many memories to commit to this small space come to mind. My heart goes
out to his family. I may not be able to be there at the funeral, but I will
be there in spirit. Be at peace, my friend. You will be missed.
