Last week, at a place where I sweat and bleed, I asked Patrice to be my wife.  She said "Yes", but I did bribe her with a pretty ring.

I love her truly.  Few women can make a man better than his sorry potential just by loving him.  I had to make my move while it was good.  So there, you go.  We are getting married, and fast, but she isn't pregnant.  I swear.  Really.

We have set a date for 10/2/04.  We are going to have a "smallish" ceremony and reception, whatever they mean by that.  We have been experiencing the special horror that is creating a list when you are limited financially but have an unlimited supply of friends.  Invitations for the wedding and reception will be in the mail soon.
