Just a reminder, this weekend is Mannanon XXV. The weather is expected to be fairly nice - partly cloudy, low expected to be 39 with a high of 58 with only a 20% chance of rain. So, even if you are getting another taste of winter in your section of the Kingdom, think of coming down to beautiful Hidden Mountain for the weekend.

                                                    Mistress Adendra,
                                                    Autocrat

Tourney of Manannon Mac Lir XXV

January 30-February 1, 2004

While cold winter winds blow in the North of the Kingdom, thoughts in the South are turning to fighting! And of course, one of the questions people are asking is who will be the next one to wear the coveted Brooch of Manannon Mac Lir? Will Baron Janos retain his hold on the Brooch, or will someone else step forward to be the new bearer of one of the oldest tourney prizes in Atlantia! And who will claim the Rapier Brooch from Lord Liam? Contests in thrown weapons and archery will round out the day's martial activities.

For the non-martial, an open A&S contest with an Oceanic theme will tempt you throughout the day. Children's activities will be offered during the day, also.

Is this not enough to tempt you to travel to the Fair south of the Kingdom? Well, let me sweeten the pot with a feast by House Drunken Moose! Dietary concerns can be directed to the Autocrat.

The site will once again be the Harleyville Community Center, 20 South Railroad Ave., Harleyville, SC 29448. Limited crash space will be available in the hall, and primitive camping will be available behind the hall. There is a small motel a few blocks from the site, contact the autocrat for details. Sorry, no pets or open fires allowed. This is a discretely wet site. Site will open at 5 PM on Friday and close by 12 PM Sunday. Merchants are welcome: please direct any questions to the autocrat.

The cost for this wonderful event is a mere $13 onboard, $7 for daytrip. Teens 13-18 will be $12 onboard, $6 daytrip, children 6-12 will be $7, and children 5 and under are guests of the Canton. Please make all checks out to the Canton of Tear Sea's Shore, SCA, Inc. Nonmembers please add $3. Remember, the only reservation is a paid reservation.
