Unto the populace of Atlantia,
I am happy to announce that the editor of "Fencers Quarterly Magazine",
Nick Evangelista, would like to have articles about SCA rapier fighting.
As the result of a letter to the editor that I wrote, he contacted me
about a possible article, which I sent and he accepted for publication.
When I asked if he wanted more articles, he wrote back:
"I am actually looking forward to developing an SCA 'dialogue' within
our pages. It may not appeal to everyone, but neither does anything else
we present. I think the SCA scene will add a new dimension to FQM."
So all you scribes and writers out there, sharpen your quills and get
out your parchment. Here's our chance to make our voices heard in the
sport fencing community. Nick may be contacted at evangel at atlascomm.net.
(For those unfamiliar with FQM, its emphasis is on classical fencing,
rather than the modern Olympic-style electrical fencing. Nick often
takes unconventional and controversial approaches to fencing.)
In Service to the Dream,
Karl von Lindenheim
