Greetings!

Fellow Atlantians, in light of some recent unfortunate occurrences, I'm
asking you to help me spread the word about the recently-enacted Minor
Medical Authorization requirement for minors attending events without
their parents or guardians. In essence, the requirement is this: if a
minor (age 17 or younger) is attending an event without their legal
parent or guardian, they need to bring with them a notarized Minor
Medical Authorization, giving an adult who will be at the event
permission to seek medical assistance for the minor.

The Minor Medical Authorization form can be found on the Atlantian
Seneschal's Webpage, at
http://seneschal.atlantia.sca.org/Forms/scammanotary.pdf. In response
to some earlier requests, this copy of the form has been augmented with
a notarization block.

It is very sad for event staff to have to turn away a minor for lack of
a form, and it is even sadder for a minor and his or her friends to have
to turn around and go home after a long drive to an event, so please,
make sure your friends in the Society know about this important
requirement.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Minor Medical
Authorization or other waiver forms, please feel free to contact me at
waivers at atlantia.sca.org, or give me a call at 703-517-5428. Thanks!

Ilse von Brenner
Kingdom Waiver Secretary
