What if the prior authorization is for a completely different
activity?  For
example, a combat archer who has just authorized in rapier?  Or a
rapier
fighter who has just authorized in sword and shield?

   My Lord thanks for this question.   The Combat Archer would be a
NOVICE Rapier Fighter in the example.  If the Rapier Fighter has just
authorized in Sword and Shield and is a Novice Heavy fighter  he mat
participate in Our Tournament as a Novice.
   In all of the  above cases.....I would Hope said fighter would come
and have a great time all the same.  There will be open Tournaments
after the Novices have fought and even then, the novice fighters may
participate in the open Tournament as well   ( smile)
